I recently purchased an SA44B to use for frequency coordination of RF microphones and In Ear systems in a live sound environment. I am exporting CSV files from spike to import into coordination software. I have no problem importing my CSV files into Shure’s Wireless Workbench but I am unable to import them into Professional Wireless IAS. When I try to import to IAS I am prompted with a message that says that “The data format of this file could not be determined.”
When viewing my CSV files with a document viewer they appear as follows:

Sorry for the late response. I was hoping another IAS user would chime in with their experience. Does the IAS software have a user manual or anything else that would describe the file format it expects? If you can find this, I could probably help determine what would need to be done to make it work.
The file that you said works has several configuration settings included, is it possible the IAS software expects one/some of these?

Thanks for the reply. There is not much info out there about IAS or any sign of a manual.
I have found a work-around to importing my Spike CSV files into IAS that involves using Excel…
If I open my Spike CSV file with Excel (2016) and simply re-save the file it is recognized by IAS. Attached are both the Spike file and the re-saved Excel file.
I just installed Office 2016 this week on the Microsoft Surface that I am using to run Spike. Before that I found this work-around by using Excel 2008 on my MacBook. In that version of Excel the CSV files were not recognized directly either. I had to import the CSV data into a new workbook using the text import wizard then Save as a CSV file.
It does not seem like the data contained at the beginning of Trace001 (attached above) is necessary for IAS to recognize the CSV file but may be nice to have as some of that data is filled automatically in the IAS import screen as shown in the screen shot below.

Hi Charles,
If simply re-saving the file fixed the issue, I’m going to guess that the line endings is what is resolved it. Our software probably saves newlines with ‘\n’ and excel will replace them with ‘\r\n’. After looking at the files, the resaved version also removed the spaces between the values on each line, maybe that?
