The BB60C with extended temperature is given for -40 to 65’C, but what is the link between the external temperature and the read one on Spike ?

The temperature read in Spike is the internal temperature of the device. The BB60C is not able to provide external temperature readings. When we calibrate the BB60C across temperature we use environmental chambers to control the external temperature.

AndrewOk, I search a way to present an alarm to protect the BB60C in case of high temperature, what is the maximum for internal temperature in this case.
I suppose that you have tested in your environmental chambers at 65’C and -40’C and have the internal temperature results ?
When you let the unit run for hours at a time the entire case gets quite warm. As with any test equipment you would want to give the analyzer some time to warm up to minimize drift.
the -40 to +65C specifications are very common for the electronic components.

Yes, we use an environmental chamber to test the units from -40 to +65 ambient for our correction data across temperature. Typically, the internal temperature runs around 8-9 C above ambient in the chamber, so the device corrections should be valid from about -32 to about +74 C internally reported temperature.
