Dear Justin,

Thank you for your answer.

I will once again respectfully reiterate my stance that you should consider this as my “request” and not “suggestion”. I’m not a liberal arts student and know that this function could be added to BB60C FPGA, only if your company thought it was important enough, which you apparently don’t. It doesn’t need much resources..

I couldn’t care less for SM200A, because it is many times more expensive and has specs that I don’t need. I will probably never buy it. You can add whatever you want on it. It’s not important to me.

Trigger IN is useful only in some cases, namely when I want to monitor RF burst after analog/digital event. And I do that already.. What I can’t do is correlate which digital event time correlates with RF event.. It is not just “a use case” it’s “THE use case”. For the money I paid for BB60C I could have bought classic scanning SA with better phase noise specs etc etc.

I bought BB60C for real time signal analysis.. It so appears I’ll be able to do only subset of things I was planning to do with it….

So, again, I thank you for your quick and honest answer. I’m not trying to say anything was misrepresented to me. Product works as specified. No problem there.

Problem is that if you listen very closely to what customers ask for, and if you implement all you realistically can, you will get unbeatable product… Trig out would make you product open whole new market… At this moment only MDO4000 series does propper frequency/time domain correlation.. Having Trig IN and OUT would make that any person with a scope would have that capability… If they buy SignalHound….. And not the 10000 USD one, but the one they can afford…
If I were you I would not dismiss this idea lightly..

Thanks for your time and effort.

Best regards,

Sinisa
